UC Davis Strategic Communications promotes the university’s brand through marketing, storytelling, and digital communications. As part of the marketing team, I am the Trademarks and Licensing Coordinator and Marketing Associate, ensuring brand compliance and supporting campus-wide marketing initiatives (e.g. Arneson Egghead Collection)

Trademarks & Licensing

As the Trademarks and Licensing Coordinator, I help manage the UC Davis Licensing Program, ensuring proper use of trademarks, symbols, and brand elements across licensed products. I work closely with licensed vendors and CLC (Collegiate Licensing Company) to maintain brand compliance and oversee the artwork submission portal, reviewing product designs before production and sale.
I also assist university departments and student organizations with merchandise guidelines and vendor recommendations. Alongside our market research analyst, I analyze sales, royalties, and licensing trends to inform strategy and improve the program. Additionally, I monitor and report unlicensed vendors and counterfeit products, conduct bookstore visits to review new merchandise and brand alignment, and visit other university bookstores for competitive analysis and licensing audits.
Graphic Design

I started as a graphic design intern in UC Davis Strategic Communications, assisting the design team in creating print and digital assets for social media, campaigns, and the Brand Communications Guide website. My work included holiday and grad gift guides, email signatures, posters, GIFs, and Canva templates for various promotions. I designed using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva.
Marketing Team Support

I also support the marketing team with daily operations and assist with marketing initiatives, including event planning, campus partnerships, and Communications Council events, where UC Davis communicators collaborate to strengthen efforts.
